The default step counting algorithm uses the accelerometer data of your phone to calculate steps. However, on Huawei's customized Android systems, for the purpose of battery saving, the default setting stop providing that data when screen is locked.
Please follow the instruction below to allow Pacer accurately track your steps.
1) Go to Phone Manager, find Auto-launch and allow Pacer to launch automatically
2) Within Phone Manager, Lock screen cleanup (or Protected apps) , find Pacer and Choose Don't close
3) Within Phone Settings, Notification & Status Bar, find Pacer and turn all options on, Or
Go to Phone Manager, Notification center , find Pacer and turn all options on (Depends on which model you are using.)
4) Tap on "Menu" button (at the bottom of the phone, normally it has "Menu", "Home", "Back" buttons) > Find Pacer > "lock" the app by tapping on the little lock icon.
