The Pacer for Teams system provides quick ways to invite P4T challenge participants:
1. P4T Org Invitation Link/QR Scan Code + Org Code Entry
2. P4T Org Code Manual Entry
You can access these invitation methods by clicking the blue Invite Participants button in the bottom left corner of the Admin platform.
1. P4T Org Invitation Link & Org Code Entry
The P4T Admin system creates a permanent sharable link to your P4T organization that a participant can tap in an email or text thread on their smartphone. The link will launch a web page that guides the user to download Pacer in the Apple or Google App stores and then asks the user to join your P4T Organization by entering your P4T Org Code.
Copy the link with the blue Copy button, and share by any means necessary with your participants.
The following is the screenshot sequence a user will see when accessing the link in an email, accepting the invite, entering your P4T Org Code, confirming the correct Org, and agreeing to Terms of Service. Remember this invite link and code is unique to the Org, and never changes for any Enterprise challenges you create.
If a participant has never created a Pacer account before, the system will prompt them to set up an account by entering a login method (email, Facebook account or Apple account) and some personal information.
If a participant has a Pacer account, they can always choose the Log In button in the top right corner of the screen during the invitation process.
If you or another Admin has already created challenge teams, the system will prompt the participant to choose the appropriate team, which will be listed in alphabetical order. Once they tap a team, they will see the team members who have already joined the P4T Org.
If there are no teams, a user will join the default Standard team.
The participant has now successfully joined your P4T Org, and will be able to access any current or future Enterprise challenges you have created in the Challenges tab, and/or will be able to see their most recent data (today's total steps, yesterday's total steps, and average daily steps month to date) in the Data Center tab.
Note: If you are using P4T Standard version, or P4T Enterprise version and you haven't created any challenges, then the Data Center will be the default tab and serve as your leaderboard. Once you create an Enterprise challenge, the Challenges tab will become the default tab.
QR Code
If your country/culture uses QR codes, you can quickly download your P4T Org's unique QR code, which will follow the same join sequence as the invite link.
2. P4T Org Code Manual Entry
The second method to have participants download Pacer in the Apple and Google app stores on their own, and manually enter the Org Code at the Pacer app first time launch screen, or on the Pacer home screen. All join sequences in the above method (terms of service, Pacer account creation, team selection) are identical.
Your Org Code is always visible in the top left corner of the Overview screen in the Admin platform, or by clicking the Share your Organization Code on the invite screen.
Pacer Launch Screen Quick Access
Identical to the invite link code method above, when participants launch Pacer for the first time, they can tap the Enter challenge code button, and enter your P4T Org's Org Code.
Pacer Home Screen Access
If a participant already has Pacer, or missed the access on the Pacer launch screen, they can tap the search button on the home screen and enter the P4T Org Code there.
Visit & share the P4T challenge participant guides with participants as needed.
Please contact the Pacer for Teams support team if you are having any Pacer app invite issues, or have special participant invitation needs.
