Organization/Org/Account
Pacer for Teams (P4T) is a platform that enables organizations of any size easily and quickly set up fitness/step challenges that suit their needs. It is built into the Pacer App and features an in-app challenge portal, along with a web-based administrator challenge management portal.
An organization within Pacer for Teams is comprised of a main organization administrator, additional administrators if required, and an unlimited number of participants.
Participants can be divided by the administrator into an unlimited number of groups, depending on the organizational hierarchy and challenge requirements.
Org Code
One of the most important aspects of managing a P4T Account is your Organization Code, or Org Code for short. It consists of a string of letters and numbers (ex. AA00000) and a corresponding QR scan code. It is used for Admins and participants to join the organization and subsequent challenges, and is required for both P4T technical support and Enterprise upgrades. Visit the Org Code article for more information.
Administrator/Admin
The key person in creating and managing challenges in Pacer for Teams. They are the ultimate P4T account holder, for their email and phone number is registered with the account.
The main Admin can invite other Admins to help manage the account by providing a shared password created by the Pacer for Teams system.
Administrator privileges fall into three broad categories:
- Edit their organization's profile and settings.
- Invite participants to join the Org and subsequently any challenges, and assign participants to groups. Can also remove participants from the organization.
- View/sort leaderboard data, export data and support challenge participants.
Member/Participant/User
Any person an Admin invites to participate in a Pacer for Teams challenge. They have possession of the P4T account Org Code, have downloaded Pacer, and have successfully entered the Pacer for Teams Organization.
Note: A Participant only needs to download the Pacer app on their phone and enter the Organization via the Org Code. They do not need to access the Pacer for Teams Admin platform.
Challenge
An individual and/or group step challenge that has a start and end time. Enterprise subscription Admins can create a custom date challenge in Pacer for Teams by using the Manage Challenges function in the Admin platform.
Organizational fitness challenges worldwide normally start on the first of the month and are 1-3 months in duration, but can vary based on organizational health and wellness goals (ex. 6-12 months).
Team
Teams are an optional way of organizing your challenge participants into smaller, competitive teams. By default, every Pacer for Teams organization consists of one team to start, named Standard.
