What are Pacer Virtual Challenges?
Virtual challenges encourage communities to stay active, healthy, and engaged together.
Pacer provides a platform for users to create their own challenges and invite their communities to join. Challenge organizers set the rules, and participants complete the challenges at the time and place of their choosing.
Challenges are tightly integrated with Pacer Groups, which means that when you create a Challenge, you also get social engagement features like group announcements, social feed, and group chat.
Who can organize Challenges?
Anyone with a community of health-focused members can get started creating Challenges in Pacer. There is no fee to create a challenge and there is no limit on the number of challenges or participants.
Who can join Challenges?
Anyone you invite, and anyone in the Pacer community!
Challenges are public to the entire Pacer community by nature. That means any existing Pacer user can participate and--if they like your Challenge--choose to follow your Group in the Pacer app. In fact, creating engaging challenges is a great way to grow your Group within the Pacer community.
We understand not everyone wants their Challenges to be public. If you need a private challenge or have other advanced requirements like data export, please check out Pacer for Teams (fees may apply).
How do I run a Challenge?
Running a virtual challenge can be done in 3 basic steps:
- Create a public Group that will host the Challenge (you may skip this step if you have one already).
- Create, customize and publish your Challenge
- Share and promote your Challenge to your community
Can I charge registration fees for my Challenges?
Unfortunately, as a challenge platform, we do not support the collection of registration fees directly through our system. We are focused on providing an engaging and interactive environment for challenges without facilitating financial transactions.
