Once you connect Pacer with Google Fit, Google Fit is the primary data source, and thereby Pacer will display whatever activity values Google Fit has calculated.
Since Google Fit has its own algorithm to analyze and process activity data, it is possible that after your Pacer GPS activity data is processed by Google Fit, the step or distance data will be reduced.
Unfortunately, we cannot change your data that is sent and processed by Google Fit, and Pacer must display the final result sent by Google Fit.
That being said, we'd still recommend you maintain the Google Fit connection since it reduces the chance that Pacer miscounts your steps because the app was accidentally shut down in the Android system background.
