Pacer iOS Premium members can sync their heart rate data from a paired Apple Watch. The synchronization is through Apple Health and If you find the syncing is not working, or you do not see your heart rate charts in Pacer displaying properly or getting updated, these steps help you troubleshoot, isolate and fix the issues.
Let's start with the basics.
First make sure your Apple Watch is paired with your iPhone. Then try restarting your iPhone and Apple Watch to clear out any immediate conflicts that can be causing the issue.
Check and ensure both Bluetooth and Wifi are turned on for your Apple Watch and iPhone.
Double-check to ensure both your iPhone and Apple Watch are updated to the latest version of iOS and WatchOS.
Check to see that your Apple Watch is syncing heartbeat data to your iPhone:
- Open the "Health" app on your iPhone.
- Tap the "Browse" tab at the bottom.
- Tap "Heart."
- If your Apple Watch is actively syncing with your iPhone, you will see a heart rate summary for "today."
If you don't see a heart rate measured today, then your watch is not syncing with your iPhone. If this is the case, follow these troubleshooting steps from Apple -Apple Watch isn't connected or paired with your iPhone. *The final step on that document to pair your watch again with your iPhone can resolve the issue in most cases.
Check if you've granted Pacer permission to import data from the "Health" app.
If your Apple Watch is syncing data into the "Health" app on your iPhone, and you see a heart measurement taken today, then try checking to make sure Pacer has permission to import your health data from the "Health" app.
- Open the "Health" app on your iPhone.
- Tap on your avatar in the top right corner.
- Tap on "App" in the "Privacy" section.
- Tap on "Pacer".
- Make sure every Category is turned on for Pacer.
