Pacer includes tools to help you control who can interact with you and what you see in your feed. If someone is bothering you, you can Block them (stronger) or Hide them (lighter). Pacer also recommends using Report + Block for harassment or unsafe behavior.
Block vs. Hide (What’s the difference?)
Block a user
When you block someone:
- They can’t view your profile or posts
- They can’t send you direct messages
- You won’t see their profile/content in normal places
Important limitation: They may still be able to see content you post to public clubs. (Public clubs are visible beyond just your followers.)
Hide a user
When you hide someone:
- You won’t see their posts in your feed
- You may still see their club posts if you share the same clubs (especially in shared/public clubs)
How to Block a User
Method 1: Block from the user’s profile (recommended)
- Open Pacer
- Go to the person’s profile (tap their name/avatar from a post, comment, club, or search)
- Tap the ⋯ (More) menu (usually top-right)
- Select Block
- Confirm
Method 2: Block from a post or comment
- Find the user’s post/comment in your Feed or a Club
- Tap ⋯ (More) on the post/comment
- Select Block user
- Confirm
Method 3: Block from Direct Messages (if available)
- Open the DM conversation
- Tap the conversation info / ⋯
- Select Block user
- Confirm
(Exact button labels can vary by app version.)
How to Hide a User
Method 1: Hide from a post (fastest)
- In your Feed, find a post from the user
- Tap ⋯ (More)
- Select Hide user (or Hide posts from this user)
- Confirm
Method 2: Hide from the user’s profile
- Open the user’s profile
- Tap ⋯ (More)
- Select Hide (or Mute / Hide posts)
- Confirm
What to expect after hiding
- Their posts should disappear from your feed
- If you share clubs, you may still see their club posts in shared clubs (this is expected behavior)
Manage / Undo: Unblock or Unhide
- Open Pacer
- Go to Settings → Privacy Settings
- Look for Blocked Users and/or Hidden Users
- Tap a user to Unblock / Unhide
Safety: When you should Report as well
If the behavior involves harassment, threats, scams, or repeated unwanted contact:
- Use Report on the post/comment/profile (usually under ⋯)
- Then Block the user to stop further interaction
- When reporting, include screenshots, usernames, and where it happened if possible
Related privacy controls (optional but helpful)
If your goal is broader privacy (not just one person), you can also limit who can view your profile by setting Profile visibility (e.g., to “Follower”).
