Your privacy is important to us, and we’re committed to giving you clear choices about what information you share with other Pacer members. Some information you choose to make public may also be visible on Pacer’s public website and may appear in search engine results.
Your personal data, including gender, birth year, weight, height, and blood pressure, is visible only to you. Depending on your privacy settings and the features you use, your nickname, avatar, location, posts, activities, Clubs, goals, challenges, badges, routes, check-ins, and leaderboard results may be visible to other Pacer members. Content you make public may also be visible on Pacer’s public website.

Account Settings (Private Account)
Setting your account to private means other users must send a follow request before they can view your full profile. Content you share in public Clubs, Challenges, Routes, or Park Check-ins may still be visible to others and on Pacer’s public website.
The following screenshots show what non-followers see on public and private profiles:
To set your account to private, please tap your avatar (in the top left corner) > Settings (at the bottom) > Privacy Settings > Tick "Follower" in the Profile Privacy settings section.
Private Message Settings
You can control who sends you direct messages on Pacer. Please tap your avatar (in the top left corner) > Settings (at the bottom) > Privacy Settings, and in the Allow Direct Messages From the settings section. You can select: Everyone, Only people I follow, or choose Disable all private messages.
By default, Pacer limits messages to Only people I follow.
Friends Leaderboard Privacy Settings
Your daily steps may appear on the Friends Leaderboards of people you follow who also follow you back. To turn this off, go to Settings > Privacy Settings > Friends > Show me on friends leaderboards. To hide your steps from specific friends, select Hidden Friends.
This setting only applies to Friends Leaderboards and does not affect Club or Challenge leaderboards.
Private Goals & Check-Ins
Set your goals to private means other users, including your followers, will not be able to see your goal check-ins and related posts. You can set the goal to private when you add a new goal (screenshot below). Click here to learn how to add a new goal.
You can also change the goals you added from public to private. Please see the following screenshots.
Club Privacy Settings
Pacer Clubs can be Public, Semi-public, or Private. Public Club pages and some member information may be visible to other Pacer members and on Pacer’s public website. Club owners can choose or change a Club’s privacy type.
GPS activity Privacy Settings
Every time you finish a GPS-tracked activity, you will be asked to select sharing options for that activity. Since we have many options for sharing or not sharing GPS-tracked activities, we have an expanded article on GPS sharing and privacy settings here.
Auto Post Settings
By default, posts may be created automatically when you join a Club or Challenge or receive a badge. To manage this, go to Settings > Post Settings.
Blocking Other Users
You can block a Pacer user to limit their ability to view or interact with your profile. Open the user’s profile, tap the button in the top-right corner, and select Block User.
