Your privacy is important to us, and we’re committed to providing you with choices about what information you would like to share with other Pacer members.
Your personal data, including gender, birth year, weight, height, and blood pressure, is only visible to you. Your public profile consists of your nickname, avatar, location, posts, activities, groups, goals, challenges & badges, and routes. You can manage what to share with other Pacer members through the following in-app privacy settings.

Account Settings (Private Account)
Setting your account to private means other users must send a request to follow you. Users who are not your followers cannot view your profile page details. The following screenshots show the difference between what non-followers see when they land on the profile page of a public account and a private account:
To set your account to private, please tap your avatar (in the top left corner) > Settings (at the bottom) > Privacy Settings > Tick "Follower" in the Profile Privacy settings section.
You can control who sends you direct messages on Pacer. Please tap your avatar (in the top left corner) > Settings (at the bottom) > Privacy Settings, and in the Allow Direct Messages From the settings section. You can select: Everyone, Only people I follow, or choose Disable all private messages.
By default, Pacer limits messages to Only people I follow.
Set your goals to private means other users, including your followers, will not be able to see your goal check-ins and related posts. You can set the goal to private when you add a new goal (screenshot below). Click here to learn how to add a new goal.
You can also change the goals you added from public to private. Please see the following screenshots.
There are three types of groups: public group, semi-public group, and private group. When creating new groups, you can select privacy type.
You can also change the privacy type of existing Groups if you own them. Please go to your Group page, tap Option on the top right, tap privacy type, and make the changes.
Every time you finish a GPS-tracked activity, you will be asked to select sharing options for that activity. Since we have many options for sharing or not sharing GPS-tracked activities, we have an expanded article on GPS sharing and privacy settings here.
By default, posts will be generated automatically when you join a Group or challenge and receive a badge. If you do not want these auto posts, please tap your avatar (in the top left corner) > Settings > Post Settings to manage auto-post settings.
You can block your profile details if you want to hide them from other Pacer users. Go to the user’s profile page, click the top right button, and select Block User.
