Most companies invite participants in one (or more) of these ways:

• Invite link (opens a join page on your phone) 
• QR code (takes you to the same join page) 
• Org Code / Challenge Code (you type a code inside the Pacer app)

Pacer for Teams commonly supports onboarding via share link and QR code, and many challenges also provide a code entry option.

Before You Start

You’ll need:

• A smartphone (iOS or Android) 
• The Pacer app installed 
• Your company’s invite link / QR code / Org Code (Challenge Code)

Option 1: Join by Invite Link (Recommended)

1. On your phone, tap the invite link your company shared (email, Slack, intranet, etc.). 
2. You’ll land on a challenge join page. 
3. Tap Join. 
4. If you don’t have Pacer installed yet: 
   • You’ll be sent to the App Store / Google Play to install it 
   • After installing, open the invite link again and tap Join if needed (some devices require one extra tap after install) 
5. Sign in or create your Pacer account when prompted. 
6. Confirm you’re joining the correct company challenge/event space.

Tip: Use your phone (not a desktop) when opening the invite link for the smoothest join flow.

Option 2: Join by QR Code

1. Open your phone’s Camera app. 
2. Scan the QR code your company provided. 
3. Tap the link that appears. 
4. Follow the same steps as the invite link flow (tap Join, install Pacer if needed).

Option 3: Join by Org Code / Challenge Code (In-App Code Entry)

If your company gave you a code (often called Org Code or Challenge Code):

1. Install and open the Pacer app. 
2. From the app’s home screen, tap the Search icon. 
3. Enter the code exactly as provided (codes are often case-sensitive). 
4. Open the result and tap Join.

After You Join: Confirm You’re In the Right Challenge

Once joined, make sure you can see:

• The challenge name your company announced 
• The start/end dates 
• The leaderboard (if enabled for your event) 
• Your profile showing as a participant

If your company uses teams, you may be prompted to:

• Join a team, or 
• Create a team (depending on how your admin set it up)

Common Issues and Fixes

“The link opens, but I can’t join”

• Make sure you’re opening the invite on your phone, not on a desktop browser. 
• If you installed Pacer during the process, open the invite link again and tap Join one more time.

“Invalid code” / “No results found”

• Re-enter the code carefully (watch for O/0, I/1, extra spaces). 
• Confirm you’re using the latest code (some companies run multiple challenges).

“I joined, but I don’t see the challenge”

• Confirm you joined the correct organization/challenge (some companies have multiple events). 
• Try closing and reopening the app, then pull-to-refresh on the challenge page (if available).
