If your corporate challenge code (often called an Org Code) won’t work in Pacer for Teams, it’s usually caused by one of these issues:
- You’re entering the code in the wrong place (or using the wrong app)
- The code was changed by the organizer (old codes stop working)
- Your organization uses an allowlist (only approved emails can join)
- Your app is outdated or your device/network is blocking the join flow
Follow the steps below in order.
1) Confirm you’re using the correct app and join entry point
Make sure you’re joining from the Pacer for Teams / Corporate entry (not a non-corporate join flow).
In the app
- Open Pacer
- Go to Challenges (bottom right)
- Tap My Org (top right), then enter the code there
2) Re-enter the code carefully (format rules)
Org Codes are typically letters + numbers only, and organizers often choose short codes to make them easy to type. Codes are not case-sensitive, but they must follow the allowed format (alphanumeric; typical length range).
Try this:
- Re-type the code manually (don’t rely on autocorrect)
- Remove spaces before/after the code
- Use only A–Z and 0–9 (no punctuation)
3) Ask your organizer for the latest code (old codes can be invalid)
Organizers can change the org code. When they do:
- The new code becomes valid
- The old org code (and older QR/invite links/onboarding guides) may no longer work for new joiners
If you’re using a code from an older email/poster/slide deck, request:
- The current Org Code
- Or the current invite link / QR code
(Org code + invite link + QR are standard invite methods in Pacer for Teams.)
4) Check whether your company uses an allowlist (email must match exactly)
Some organizations enable an allowlist (an approved roster of participant emails). If this is enabled:
- You must register using an email address (not Facebook/other third-party login)
- That email must match the allowlist exactly, or you won’t be allowed to join
If you suspect allowlisting:
- Use your work email
- Check spelling, aliases, and domains (e.g., @company.com)
- If your HR/organizer recently changed your email, ask them to update the roster
5) Update the app and retry (surprisingly common)
Some join flows fail when the app is out of date.
- Update Pacer to the latest version
- Force-close and reopen the app
- Try the join flow again
6) Try an alternative join method (link or QR)
If typing the code keeps failing, ask your organizer for:
- Invite link, or
- QR code
These are commonly provided alongside the org code.
7) If it still doesn’t work, contact Pacer for Teams support from inside the app (best diagnostics)
Pacer for Teams support can often diagnose code/join issues faster if they receive logs.
In the app:
- Challenges → My Org
- Tap the … (more) menu under the My Org tab
- Choose Email Support and attach screenshots of the error
Include:
- The code you entered (copy/paste it)
- The exact error message
- Your email used to sign up
Organizer/Admin quick checklist (if users report “code not working”)
- Confirm the org code hasn’t been changed recently (changing it can invalidate old codes/guides).
- If an allowlist is enabled, confirm the participant’s email is on it and they are using email-based signup.
- Re-send the latest invite link/QR and ask the user to try that instead of manual typing.
