If photos or posts don’t show up (or the feed looks outdated/blank), it’s usually caused by sync delays, network/data restrictions, app cache issues, or content visibility rules (filters, privacy).
Follow the steps below in order.
1) Confirm You’re Looking at the Right Feed (Basic Checks)
- Make sure you’re viewing the correct Group/Club (some users join multiple).
- Pull down to refresh the feed (wait a few seconds and try again).
- If there are feed tabs (e.g., “Hot / New / Following”), switch tabs and switch back.
- If you have a search or filter enabled, clear it.
2) Check Whether the Post Was Actually Published
If your own post/photo is missing:
- Confirm the upload completed (don’t leave the screen immediately after tapping Post).
- Re-open the Group/Club feed and refresh.
- If your post includes a large photo, try posting again on Wi-Fi.
3) Rule Out Network and Data Restrictions
Feed content won’t load if the app can’t reach the server reliably.
iOS (iPhone)
- Check you have internet (Wi-Fi or Cellular).
- Make sure Cellular Data is allowed for the app: Settings → Cellular → scroll to the app → ON.
Android
- Turn Data Saver off (temporarily), or allow the app as Unrestricted.
- Ensure Background data is allowed for the app (restricted background data can prevent feeds from updating).
4) Fully Close and Reopen the App
- Force close the app (swipe away from the app switcher / recent apps).
- Reopen and refresh the Group/Club feed again.
This clears many “stuck feed” states without any settings changes.
6) Clear Cache (Android Recommended)
If the feed shows old content, missing images, or broken thumbnails, clearing cache often fixes it.
Android steps (typical):
- Settings → Apps → (your app) → Storage → Clear cache
(Avoid “Clear storage/data” unless you’re okay re-signing in and resetting app settings.)
7) Update the App (Important for Feed Bugs)
Outdated versions can cause feed refresh issues after backend changes.
iOS
- Update via App Store (manual update steps).
Android
- Update via Google Play (Manage apps & device → Updates available).
8) Last Resort: Reinstall
If none of the above works:
- Log out (if available).
- Delete the app.
- Reinstall from the official store.
- Sign in and check the feed again.
