If you purchased your Pacer subscription through Google Play (Android in-app subscription), Google’s refund tools are the correct place to start—especially if the purchase was recent. Google decides whether a refund is granted, based on its policies and the details of the purchase.
Before you request a refund (recommended)
1) Cancel the subscription to prevent future renewals
Canceling stops future charges, but does not automatically refund past payments. Also, uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
On Android:
- Open Google Play Store
- Tap your profile icon
- Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
- Select Pacer
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts
Request a refund (official Google methods)
Option A (recommended): Use Google’s “Request your refund” tool
This is Google’s guided flow for refund requests.
Steps
-
Open Google’s refund tool
https://support.google.com/googleplay/workflow/9813244?hl=en
- Sign in with the same Google account used to buy the Pacer subscription
- Confirm the account when prompted
- Select the Pacer subscription purchase/renewal you want refunded
- Choose a reason, add details, and submit
Google typically sends a decision within 1–4 days.
Option B: Use Google Play order history → “Report a problem”
Google also supports requesting a refund via order history:
Steps
- Go to play.google.com
- Click your profile icon (top right)
- Choose Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history
- Find the Pacer order and click Report a problem
- Pick the option that matches your situation
- Fill out the form and request a refund
- Submit
Tip: If you don’t see the order, you may be on the wrong Google account.
After you submit: what happens next
- Refund decisions typically take 1–4 days.
- If approved, refunds are returned to the original payment method, and processing time can vary (often up to 10 business days depending on payment method).
- Submitting multiple requests for the same transaction won’t speed it up.
Check your refund status
You can check status using Google’s refund status flow.

If Google refused my refund request — what can I do?
1) Confirm you used the correct Google account
If the purchase was made on a different Google account, it may not appear in your order history/refund tool. Switch accounts and try again.
2) If it’s been more than 48 hours, contact Pacer Support
Google’s policy guidance is:
- Within 48 hours: you may be able to get a refund through Google Play (case-dependent).
- After 48 hours: you should contact the app developer to request a refund or resolve the purchase issue.
What to send to Pacer Support
Include:
- Google account email used for purchase
- Purchase date/time
- GPA.####-####-####-##### order number (from Google Play receipt / order history)
- Reason for refund request (accidental purchase, renewal you didn’t expect, app issue, etc.)
- Any screenshots of errors (if relevant)
3) If you don’t recognize the charge (possible fraud)
If the purchase is unauthorized, Google advises reporting unauthorized charges within 120 days.
