This article applies to Pacer Virtual Races / Virtual Challenges with medals (the events you join with a registration code).
In most cases, you don’t “claim” the medal with a separate button—once you complete the race requirements, your medal is shipped automatically (timing depends on the shipping option you selected at checkout).
Before You Start: Confirm Your Medal Shipping Option
When you registered, you chose one of these options:
Option A — Ship medal only upon completion (“No completion, no medal”)
- Your medal will be shipped after you complete the race/challenge.
Option B — Ship immediately after registration
- Your medal may have already been shipped even if you haven’t finished yet.
If you’re not sure which option you chose, check your order confirmation (or any shipping/tracking email you already received).
Step 1: Make Sure You Truly Completed the Race
For a Virtual Race
A Virtual Race typically requires you to finish the required distance in one single session (one workout).
Accepted ways to submit results include:
- Record and save a GPS-tracked activity in Pacer (eligible activity types count automatically)
- Sync a workout from a connected device/app (Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Watch, Apple Health, Google Fit, Samsung, etc.)
- Manually submit results in Pacer (if allowed)
If your progress doesn’t show, a common cause is that the qualifying activity happened before you joined, or didn’t meet the “one-session” requirement for races.
For a Virtual Challenge (cumulative distance)
You usually complete it by accumulating distance over time until you reach the goal (rules vary by event).
Step 2: Confirm Completion in Pacer (Finish Line Status)
Once your result is accepted and the event is completed, Pacer’s virtual events typically unlock digital rewards (badge + e-certificate).
Look for:
- A completed/finished status in the event page
- A badge unlocked
- An e-certificate available (often email + in-app access depending on the event)
If you can see the digital completion rewards, that’s a strong signal your completion was recorded correctly.
Step 3: Wait for Shipping + Tracking Email (This Is the “Claim”)
After payment or completion (depending on your chosen shipping option), medals are generally processed within about a week, and you’ll receive an email with tracking details once shipped. Delivery often takes 7–20 business days depending on destination.
What to expect
- Tracking email: typically sent once the medal ships
- Delivery time: varies by country/region
Step 4: If You Finished but Haven’t Received Shipping Confirmation
Check these first
- Spam/junk folder (tracking emails sometimes land there)
- The email address used at checkout
- Whether you selected “ship upon completion” vs “ship immediately”
- Your race month / timeframe (some races let you choose a month, and you can quit/rejoin before the end date if you need to change it)
If you didn’t finish within the period
Some virtual races/challenges allow support to help with a new attempt (e.g., a new join code or an extension—depends on the event).
Step 5: Contact Support (Fastest Way to Resolve Missing Medal Shipping)
If you completed the race and your medal hasn’t shipped (or tracking shows an issue), contact Pacer support and include:
- Your order email
- Your registration/join code
- Event name
- Your shipping address (confirm it’s correct)
- Screenshot showing completed status (if available)

Many events provide a digital badge and an e-certificate after completion, and the physical medal is shipped based on your checkout preference.
Can I still get the medal if I didn’t finish on time?
Some events allow support to help you re-attempt (policy varies by event).
