What are Gems?
Gems are Pacer's in-app reward currency. You earn Gems through daily activity and League performance, and spend them in the Pacer Shop on items that help protect your Streak or boost your League score.
How do I earn Gems?
You can earn Gems in the following ways:
- New user bonus — 500 Gems when you first start using Pacer
- Streak +1 — Earn Gems each day when you hit your daily step goal and claim your Streak reward
- Streak Commit — Earn Gems when you restart your Streak after a break, depending on how many days you commit to
- Add a widget or share a milestone — Earn a one-time Gems bonus
- League top 3 finish — Earn Gems at the end of each League week if you finish in the top 3
What can I spend Gems on?
You can spend Gems in the Pacer Shop on the following items:
- Streak Freeze (200 Gems) — Protects your Streak on a day you miss your step goal
- Streak Repair (500 Gems) — Restores a broken Streak
- Streak Pause (1,000 Gems) — Pauses your Streak for planned breaks
- League Protection (1,000 Gems) — Keeps you in your current League tier even if you finish in a low position
Daily Checkin Boost (100 Gems), Weekly Boost (500 Gems), Adventure Challenge Boost (1,000 Gems)

Keep your Gems balance under 1,000 before each Sunday to maximize the number of Streak rest days you receive each week
