Pacer Groups/Clubs are here to help people stay active together—through encouragement, friendly competition, and shared progress. These rules apply to all Group/Club content, including group names/descriptions, posts, comments, photos, challenge titles, and messages. Pacer’s Terms of Service also apply.

1) Respectful, Supportive Behavior
We want Groups/Clubs to feel safe and motivating. That means:
- Be kind, constructive, and welcoming.
- Disagree without personal attacks.
- Encourage healthy participation—no shaming or bullying.
Not allowed: harassment, threats, hate speech, or content that targets people based on protected traits.
2) Content You Must Not Post
Please do not post or share content that is:
- Obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit
- Defamatory, threatening, or harassing
- Hateful or racially/ethnically offensive
- Illegal, or encouraging criminal behavior
- Falsehoods or misrepresentations that could harm others
- Impersonation of another person
- Copyrighted/proprietary content you don’t have rights to use
Pacer may remove content that violates these rules, and repeat violations may lead to account restrictions.
3) No Spam, Ads, or Unwanted Promotions
Groups/Clubs are not a marketing channel.
Not allowed:
- Posting ads or business solicitations
- Sending or collecting contact info for unsolicited messages (spam)
- Scraping member data or using automated tools to collect user info
If your Club is officially sponsored and needs special posting rules, keep promotions clearly labeled, minimal, and non-intrusive.
4) Protect Privacy and Personal Information
For your safety, do not share:
- Your (or someone else’s) phone number, home address, personal email, IDs, payment details, or private documents
- Screenshots containing sensitive personal data
- Any private information about another member without consent
Important for challenges & rewards: It is a serious violation to solicit personal information (including contact info or payment info) from other Pacer users.
5) Fair Play in Challenges
Challenges should motivate healthy activity—not pressure people into unsafe behavior.
Please:
- Follow challenge rules (daily limits, allowed activities, time zone rules)
- Avoid cheating, manipulating, or “step farming”
- Keep competition friendly (no shaming or harassment over rankings)
If you’re a Group/Club organizer, consider:
- Setting reasonable daily limits to discourage overexertion
- Clarifying time zone rules and what counts toward scoring
6) Safety and Age Requirements
- Pacer’s services are intended for users 16+.
- If you see content suggesting self-harm, threats, exploitation, or imminent danger, report it immediately and contact local emergency services when appropriate.
7) Reporting, Blocking, and Getting Help
Pacer supports keeping user-generated spaces safe by enabling:
- Reporting offensive or inappropriate content
- Blocking abusive users
- A way to contact support
What to do
- Use the Report option on the post/comment/profile (where available in your app version).
- Block the user if you don’t want further interaction.
- If the issue is urgent or repeated, contact support from within the app (Help/Support), and include screenshots and the group/challenge name.
8) Enforcement
When content or behavior violates these guidelines or the Terms of Service, Pacer may:
- Remove posts/comments/content
- Restrict features (posting, messaging, group access)
- Suspend or terminate accounts in serious or repeated cases
