Pacer is built to be a supportive, welcoming place to stay active together. When behavior or content harms others—or breaks our rules—we may take action to protect the community. Your use of Pacer is governed by our Terms of Service and any posted guidelines/rules for specific features.
What may happen after a violation
Depending on the severity, context, and whether it’s a repeat issue, Pacer may take one or more of the following actions:
- Remove or limit visibility of content (posts, comments, images, profiles, group content)
- Send an educational notice or warning
- Restrict certain features (posting, commenting, messaging, group access, leaderboard/challenge participation)
- Temporarily suspend an account
- Permanently suspend an account in serious cases
Pacer’s Terms of Service state that use of the Services is subject to termination at Pacer’s sole discretion.
(These enforcement levels are also common across online communities that use warnings → temporary suspensions → permanent suspensions based on severity.)
How reports and reviews work
When content or behavior is reported (or detected), our team reviews what happened and evaluates factors such as:
- Context and intent
- Potential harm to others
- Whether the account has prior violations
- Whether reporting tools are being misused to harass others
- Legal or safety obligations
These are standard trust & safety review factors used by major community platforms.
What happens to the content
If content violates the rules, we may remove it, reduce its visibility, or limit sharing. In some cases, we may keep internal records/copies for security, moderation, or legal reasons.
If your account is restricted or suspended
If we take enforcement action on your account, you may be able to appeal by contacting Support and providing any relevant context. (Submitting an appeal does not guarantee an enforcement decision will be reversed.)
To contact Support, use the Help Center “Submit a request” option.
Reporting violations and staying safe
If you see something that violates the rules, please report it (use the in-app reporting option on the post/comment/profile if available), and consider blocking the user to stop unwanted interactions. For urgent safety concerns, consider contacting local authorities.
