Pacer motivates you by tracking how many days in a row you hit your daily step goal. This consecutive‑days count is called your streak. A longer streak shows you’ve consistently met your goals, which helps build a healthy walking habit. But sometimes life happens — travel, illness or a busy day can cause you to miss your goal. To reduce frustration and keep your momentum, Pacer Premium includes a feature called Streak Repair.
How streaks work in Pacer
When you first meet your daily step goal two days in a row, Pacer starts a streak. Each additional day that you meet or exceed your goal adds one to your streak total. If you don’t reach the goal on any given day, your streak ends and resets to zero. Streaks are purely motivational — they don’t affect your step data or health metrics, but many Pacers enjoy them as a way to stay accountable.
What is Streak Repair?
Streak Repair lets Premium subscribers restore a streak after missing a day. Instead of losing your entire streak, you can “repair” the broken day and continue counting from where you left off. This keeps you on track and removes the discouragement of starting over. According to Pacer’s feature descriptions, Streak Repair is part of the Premium tier and is available to be used periodically. In the Pacer app, you’ll see a prompt to repair your streak whenever you miss your goal.
Key points about Streak Repair:
- The Streak Repair feature allows you to restore any Streak that has been interrupted or broken, as long as the break occurred within the last 7 days from the time you choose to use the Repair. This means that if you accidentally miss a day or two, you can still recover your progress without losing your streak.
- It is important to note that you cannot use the Streak Repair feature to fix a Streak that was broken more than 7 days ago. If the break in your streak happened beyond this 7-day window, the streak cannot be restored and will be considered ended.
Additionally, this feature is exclusive to Premium users, who are entitled to claim one Streak Repair per calendar month. This limitation encourages users to maintain their streaks consistently while providing a safety net for occasional slips.
How to use Streak Repair
Follow these steps on either iOS or Android to repair a broken streak:
- Open Pacer and tap the fire or flame icon on the top right corner to enter streak detail page.
- Find Streak Repair and tap it, a confirmation screen will pop up.
- Tap the USE button to confirm. After confirming, the streak broken within the last 7 days will be repaired.
If you do not see a repair option, you may have used up your repairs for the month or you may not have a Premium subscription. You can upgrade to Premium in the app to unlock Streak Repair.
