In Pacer, a Streak represents the number of consecutive days you have achieved your daily step goal. If you have completed your steps but your streak has not increased, it is typically due to manually logged activity or a delay in syncing your local data with our servers. Please follow the steps below to verify your goal and ensure your streak updates correctly.
1. Avoid Editing Activity Manually
Manually adding or editing steps can affect your streak. If you logged a workout or added steps by hand, the system may not count it toward your streak.
- Pacer only increases streaks for automatically tracked steps.
- Try to achieve the goal through normal walking or running.
2. Check Your Internet Connection and Sync Data
While Pacer can track steps offline, your streak may not update until the app syncs data with our servers.
- Connect your phone to the internet (Wi‑Fi or mobile data).
- Open Pacer and stay on the Home tab for a few seconds to allow the app to sync.
- Wait a moment—your streak should update once the sync completes.
3. Make Sure You Actually Reached Your Daily Step Goal
Your streak only increases when you hit or exceed the daily step goal you set in Pacer. If you changed your goal recently, you may need to walk more than before.
- Open Pacer and go to Settings→ Daily Step Goal.
- Check your Daily Step Goal (e.g. 5,000, 8,000, etc.).
- Compare it to your current step count. If your steps are lower than the goal, you haven’t met the requirement yet.
- Walk until you’re over the goal. The streak will increase once the app registers the full number.
Important: Changing your daily goal resets your streak. If you raised the goal after completing your steps, you need to walk the new amount to maintain the streak.
4. Check the Cut‑Off Time and Time Zone
Streaks are tied to the calendar day. If you finish your steps after midnight (according to your phone’s time), the streak counts those steps toward the next day.
- Ensure your phone’s date and time settings are correct.
- If you’ve recently travelled across time zones, open Pacer to sync the new time.
- Try to complete your goal before midnight local time to avoid missing the cut‑off.
