League points represent the real activity you do with Pacer. They determine your ranking on the League leaderboard.
League points primarily rely on your daily step count, with 100 steps equating to 1 point. The daily cap for step count points is 300 points, equivalent to 30,000 steps.
To keep the competition fair, only certain types of steps and activities are eligible. Here's what counts and what doesn't.
✅ Activities that count
1. Steps recorded by your phone or a synced device
- Pacer’s built‑in pedometer – Any steps counted by the phone's motion sensor while Pacer is running in the background are eligible.
- Apple Health / Google Fit steps – If you've connected Pacer to Apple Health, Google Fit, or Samsung Health, steps recorded by those services count toward your total.
- Wearable devices – Steps from Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, and other supported wearables will count once synced through Apple Health, Google Fit, or Samsung Health. Make sure the device is properly paired and permissions are granted.
2. GPS‑tracked and Treadmill activities
- Outdoor walks, runs or hikes logged with Pacer’s GPS count as distance and steps.
- Indoor walks, runs logged with Pacer's Treadmill feature count as distance and steps.
❌ Activities that do NOT count
- Manually entered or edited data – Manually adding steps or editing activity data does not add League points.
- Imported data from unsupported apps – Only steps from Pacer or recognized services (Apple Health, Google Fit, Samsung Health, etc.) count.
- Exceeding the daily cap – Steps beyond 30,000 per day won't add points. This cap maintains fairness and prevents overexertion.
How League points are calculated
League points primarily rely on your daily step count, with 100 steps equating to 1 point. The daily cap for step count points is 300 points, equivalent to 30,000 steps.
Once you hit the daily cap, extra steps won't add more points. However, you can earn additional bonus points from the following sources — each with its own rules:
| Source | Max Points |
|---|---|
| Daily Steps | 300 pts/day |
| Daily Boost | 50+ pts/activation |
| Go Outside Boost (Park Check-in) | up to 100 pts/day |
| Adventure Challenge | up to 200 pts/week |
Note: The 200-point cap applies to Adventure Challenges only. Park Check-in and Daily Boost points are counted separately and are not subject to this cap.
For highly active users, the theoretical daily maximum is 650+ points when all sources are combined.
Points Boost
The Daily Boost is a special bonus in the Pacer Leagues designed to encourage more active participation in daily walking and app usage.
When active, it multiplies (2x or 3x) the League points you earn from GPS or treadmill walks for up to 30 minutes. The multiplier depends on the chest type you claim, which is linked to your Gems balance. The Boost must be used on the same day you claim it.
Weekly Boosts
The Weekly Boost uses AI to create a personalized points multiplier for your League activity each week. The multiplier is based on your activity level, giving you tailored incentives to stay motivated and keep progressing.
You qualify if your average steps are under 10,000 per day. In Gold League and above, a Premium membership is required to use the Weekly Boost.
