To use HUAWEI steps through this Android connection, those steps must first be written to Health Connect on the same phone as Pacer.
HUAWEI wearable → compatible sharing app → Health Connect → Pacer
Selecting HUAWEI in Pacer does not add Health Connect support to HUAWEI Health.
1. Check whether your setup can share Steps
Sync your wearable with HUAWEI Health first.
Check HUAWEI Health's connected-service settings and the support information for your installed version. Continue with a direct connection only if it explicitly offers Health Connect and allows writing Steps.
Health Connect is different from HUAWEI Health Kit and Apple's HealthKit. Instructions for those services do not establish this Android connection.
2. Verify that steps reach Health Connect
If a supported Health Connect sharing option is available, complete its authorization and sync again.
Open Health Connect and inspect recent Steps. Check the source of the records, not just the list of apps with permission.
If the sharing option is absent, or it does not export Steps, this direct method cannot supply your steps. Contact HUAWEI Support to confirm what your device and app version support.
3. Connect Pacer once records are available
- Activate Health Connect in Pacer.
- Choose HUAWEI in Choose Wearables and follow the source check.
- Confirm a listed source only if you recognize the app actually supplying your steps.
- Prioritize that source if you want its data to take precedence.
If you already use a separate transfer app, its name may appear instead of HUAWEI. Such an app needs its own compatibility, permissions, and support; selecting HUAWEI in Pacer does not configure it.
See Sync troubleshooting if the records reach Health Connect but not Pacer.
