Use Polar Flow to send your Polar activity to Apple Health, then connect Pacer to Apple Health.
Polar device → Polar Flow → Apple Health → Pacer
Make sure your device's recent activity has synced to Polar Flow before starting. This guide covers the Polar Flow iPhone app, not the Android Health Connect connection.
1. Enable Apple Health in Polar Flow
- Open Polar Flow → More → General settings.
- Turn on Apple Health.
- Choose the categories to share, including Steps, or use Turn All Categories On.
- Tap Allow to finish.
Polar's Apple Health guide explains this connection. It sends data from Polar Flow to Apple Health; it is not an import of Apple Health data into Flow.
2. Connect in Pacer
- Open Settings → Apps & Devices → Other Wearables, or use Other Wearables in Steps Data Source.
- If needed, activate Apple Health in Pacer.
- In Choose Wearables, select Polar if it is not already checked.
- Confirm that you completed the setup instructions, then wait for Pacer's recent Steps source check.
- Continue when detected. If asked whether your device appears in the list, select Yes only if you recognize the Polar Flow source; otherwise choose No and follow troubleshooting.
The Open app button may display the Polar Flow App Store page. Open Flow after installation or updating to complete its connection.
3. Prioritize Polar Flow
Follow Manage source priorities and choose Polar Flow as your preferred Steps source. Save the change in Health, return to Pacer, and confirm completion.
Pacer does not verify the order or filter your daily total to Polar alone. It continues to use Apple Health as the primary source.
If Polar is not detected
- Check that your device has synced recent activity to Polar Flow.
- Confirm that Polar Flow can write Steps to Apple Health.
- If data is not reaching Health, Polar Flow provides its own Sync now under the Apple Health setting in More → General settings. See Polar's troubleshooting instructions.
- Once the steps are in Health, review Pacer's Health access and use Pacer's Retry or Sync now.
The two Sync now buttons do different jobs: Polar Flow sends its data toward Health; Pacer reads the data already available in Health. Pacer cannot force a Polar device to upload.
Pacer checks recent readable Steps sources. A Polar workout in Health without recent Steps does not necessarily make Polar appear in that list. Historical availability depends on what Flow actually shares; reconnecting does not guarantee a complete history import.
If the steps are present in Health but Pacer still cannot use them, contact Pacer Support with your app versions and the screen message.
