Use the Oura app to share activity with Apple Health, then connect Pacer to Apple Health.
Oura Ring → Oura app → Apple Health → Pacer
Before starting, sync your ring with Oura and check that its recent activity is visible. Oura's Apple Health integration has its own device-generation and membership requirements; check the official Oura integration guide for your account.
1. Enable Apple Health in Oura
- Open the menu in the upper-left corner of the Oura app and select Settings.
- Under Data sharing, select Apple Health.
- Enable Connect to Health and follow the permission prompts. Make sure Oura can write Steps to Apple Health.
- Confirm the requested sharing choices. If Health access was already configured, review the existing permissions rather than assuming all categories are enabled.
These controls are described in Oura's Apple Health instructions. Sharing other metrics is not a substitute for sharing Steps.
2. Connect in Pacer
- Go to Settings → Apps & Devices → Other Wearables, or select Other Wearables in Steps Data Source.
- If Apple Health is not active, follow Connect Pacer to Apple Health.
- Select Oura Ring in Choose Wearables if it is not already checked.
- Confirm that you completed the setup instructions and wait for the recent-source check.
- Continue if Oura is detected. If asked whether your device is listed, confirm only when you recognize the corresponding source. If it is missing, select No and follow the troubleshooting steps.
If the Open app button displays Oura's App Store page, open Oura after installing or updating it and finish its setup before returning to Pacer.
3. Prioritize Oura for Steps
Follow Manage source priorities to place the relevant Oura source first for Steps. Return to Pacer and confirm completion after saving the change.
The connection still uses Apple Health as Pacer's primary source, not an Oura-only filter. The total in Pacer may not be identical to the current Oura total.
If Oura is not detected
First check whether recent Oura Steps are visible in Apple Health. If not, check the ring-to-Oura sync and Oura's permission to write Steps. If they are present, review Pacer's requested Health categories using the Apple Health connection guide, then retry or tap Sync now.
The list in Pacer is based on recent readable Steps, not whether a ring is paired. If only Oura sleep or heart-rate data has reached Health, the ring may not appear as a Steps source.
Do not delete your Oura or Health history to troubleshoot this connection. If you need further help, identify where the data is missing: use Oura support for data not reaching Health, and Pacer Support for data present in Health but not available in Pacer.
